Henkel Serbia expects continuous business results growth in 2010

Henkel company on global level achieved sales of 13,573 billions Euros in previous fiscal year and operating profit is increased for 38,6 % (from 779 millions Euros to 1,08 billion Euros.Henkel Serbia realized respectable growth of business results for 12,7 percent. Production plants in Kruševac and Inđija supplied markets in over 18 countries.

On this year’s annual press conference president of Henkel Serbia Mr. Nenad Vuković with colleagues presented business results that Henkel realized in 2009.He also announced plans for 2010.

Henkel company on global level achieved sales of 13,573 billions Euros in previous fiscal year and operating profit is increased for 38,6 % (from 779 millions Euros to 1,08 billion Euros.

Henkel Serbia realized respectable growth of business results for 12,7 percent. Production plants in Kruševac and Inđija supplied markets in over 18 countries.

„Despite very challenging year behind us, we can be satisfied with realized business results in 2009. We can boast with the fact that among 31 country, which are parts of Henkel CEE, Henkel Serbia is placed at 6th position“, said on the conference Mr. Nenad Vuković, President of Henkel Serbia.

He added: „Products from our plants in Kruševac and Inđija are exported to the market composed of more than 18 countries (former Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Checzh, Poland, Switzerland, Slovakia, Hungary, Russia and Austria)“.

On the conference spoked Mr. Jovan Šarenac Director of the most dynamic business unit Adhesives Technologies who declared: „Last year was full of challenges, especially for construction business. Our division Adhesives Technologies in Serbia, despite such conditions, achieved growth of sales and market share compared to 2008“.

Last year’s hard economy situation reflected on Henkel too, but this company found the way to face the crises. „We acted well taking measures to prevent and to cease effects of economy crises to our company. I think we had a good plan, and achieved our maximum“, said Financial director of Henkel Serbia Mrs. Mirela Jovanović.

On global level, Henkel’s department of detergents and home care increased organic sales for 2,9 % in fiscal year 2009. Nominally, sales fell for 1% to 4,129 billions euros. With organic sales growth of 3,5 percent, cosmetics and toilletries department continued satisfying growth from previous years despite recesion on the market.

Nominally, the sales remained on the level of 3,010 billions euros. On significantly reduced market, sales in Division of Adhesive Technologies ceased for 7,1 percent-to 6,224 billions Euros. In organic terminolgy, sales was 10,2 percent lower compared to last year’s. It was expected bearing in mind the situation on construction market.

In Henkel company say that recovery signs are visible and claim that better times are in front of us. For this year is planned to realize growth of EBIT, as well as EPS for more than 10% compared to 2009.
