Bauer: Over 90% of children in BiH without pre-school education

With the aim of strengthening the social protection and inclusion of children in BiH, a two-day seminar “Currents and perspectives in pre-school education in the world and here”, organized by UNICEF, was held on Jahorina.
With the aim of strengthening the social protection and inclusion of children in BiH, a two-day seminar “Currents and perspectives in pre-school education in the world and here”, organized by UNICEF, was held on Jahorina.
Manuals “Right to play” and “Lets learn to live together in peace, from early childhood” were presented to the representatives of pedagogic institutes, Ministries of education, pedagogic faculties and pre-school teachers from whole BiH.
“One of the questions we need to answer is how to increase the number of children in pre-school education. Concerning fact is that over 90% of children in BiH has the right but not access to a pre-school education”, Florence Bauer, representative of UNICEF in BiH said.
She emphasized the stance of UNICEF to assist the improvement of the program of early growth and development with the assistance of European Commission, Government of Norway and department of government for Great Britain for international cooperation.
