Japanese donation to utility companies from Vrnjacka Banja, Bela Palanka

Serbia and Japan share common ideas in the field of environmental protection and within 2010r the government of Japan will implement the first technical cooperation with Serbia in the field of climate change, which is intended to reduce emissions of harmful gases.

Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic attended the signing of an agreement on the Japanese government’s donation to the public company Beli Izvor from Vrnjacka Banja and the public utility company Komnis from Bela Palanka.

The agreements on donation were signed by Japanese Charge d’Affaires in Belgrade Teruhiko Shinada, Director of the public utility company Komnis Miomir Krstic and Director of the public company Beli Izvor Goran Siljic.

Dulic said that the Japanese government will invest €138,000 in these companies as support to environmental protection in Serbia.

The Minister said that in the last ten years Japan supported Serbia with approximately €200 million, a large portion of which was invested in environmental protection.

Serbia and Japan share common ideas in the field of environmental protection, said Shinada and announced that this year the government of Japan will implement the first technical cooperation with Serbia in the field of climate change, which is intended to reduce emissions of harmful gases.

Vrnjacka Banja and Bela Palanka municipal presidents Zoran Seizovic and Aleksandar Zivkovic were also present at the signing.
